Re: 2026 NBA Season
in Gambling discussion
The Pistons get a much more comfortable win than expected. They managed to do it without relying on Duren offensively. Harris is providing leadership as the veteran. And Jenkins' development has been outstanding while Cunningham's still out. He's made the most of his opportunity, I don't think his minutes will drop too much even when Cunningham returns.
What's good about the Pistons is that they have lots of players who can step up on offense if their all-star player doesn't have a good night or if their all-star player/s is/are out.

Robinson, Harris, Thompson, and even some of the bench are helping on offense as well. Also that Daniss Jenkins is also stepping up as well, and having some career-high games as well with Cade being out because of an injury. Overall, the future of the team is good, and I would also say that they're the team that can compete against the likes of Boston, Cleveland, and the Knicks. They just need to develop their players, and gain some playoff experience, and they're good to go.

Nobody's talking about this, but are there anybody here that are surprised about how the Raptors are playing this regular season? I mean I didn't expect them to be at the top 6 of the standings right now after an awful performance last year. If you will ask me which Eastern team surprised me the most, I'll pick the Raptors because of how good they are this year compared to last year.

Re: Bitcoin remains the safe-heaven asset
in Bitcoin Discussion
---
Why am I bringing this stats? this is simply to remind newbies and everyone who might have read many bitcoin slander articles  during the Gold bullish period early this year (2026) where it even got a new ATH at $5,000+ per ounce, when many haters or anti- bitcoiners accused bitcoin of not been a store of value, with haters like Peter Schiff even calling for dumping of bitcoin to invest into silver then.

Now look at the performance of Bitcoin amidst the world crisis? What more can a store of value offer.

This thread isn’t about comparing bitcoin to any asset but stating clearly that bitcoin bearish moments shouldn’t be used to undermine its value and potential.
Safe haven asset = Store of Value right now? It might be connected, but it's 2 completely different things.

Gold is a safe Haven asset, while Bitcoin? It's going there, but not right now. Also, that small data isn't enough to say that Bitcoin can be the safe haven asset now - and even better than Gold. Let's also not forget the fact that Bitcoin went down from $126,000 to as low as $59,000 in just a few months while Gold on the other hand continuously went up to as high as $5,000. How will you argue with that then?

You're just looking at the performance of both assets in just a span of one month. Gold's price went down only because sellers need to sell their holdings. Simple as that. Let's say that there are many people who want to accumulate Bitcoin because they believe that it's already at the bottom, and they believe that 2029 will be the start of the new bull market hence, buying it now and storing it for the future.

Is Bitcoin a safe-haven asset then? Not this time, and with what happened with Gold, even many are saying that it's a safe haven asset, I don't consider it as well.

Re: Has crypto improved your life financially or made it more stressful?
in Bitcoin Discussion
---
So I would really like to hear from other members here:
Has crypto actually improved your financial life Huh
Or has it made things more stressful for you Huh
Do you think the stress is worth the long-term benefits?
I believe this discussion can also help both beginners and the amature who yet to secure the profits they desire understand the reality of crypto, not just the success stories we see online.
Both. It gave me stress, but at the same time, it improved my life MASSIVELY.

For me, my life would be different now if I'm not into crypto. If I didn't involve myself into crypto, I might be an employee out there working for 8 hours just for the minimum wage, and kind of struggling in life. I'm not saying that I'm not struggling right now despite of me being into crypto, but my life would be more miserable. The stress is worth the benefits I would definitely say that. Crypto opened a lot of opportunities to me, and because of that, I made money that I couldn't do if I work as an employee for around 2-3 years

I experienced stress of course especially when I lose money because of trading, and because of my mistakes when it comes to buying the coins that I want to hold, but overall, cryptocurrency made my life way better.

Re: People complains on illegal Gambling sites in the Philippines
in Gambling discussion
---
In the Philippines some of the users are technically young or called Gen-Z becoming addicted to easy money betting site. How I wish they knee this forum so they would be safe from scammers posting sites and probably fake gambling sites which exploit the youngs on their modus.

What do you think will the impact on this on some legits gambling site? Anyone experience an illegal site which users crypto for deposits in the Philippines?
Correct me on this one, but I haven't see any illegal gambling website that accepts cryptocurrencies that are being used in our country. Most of them are depositing using our local wallets like GCash and Maya and even though they've removed it already, there's still a way to deposit using these wallets, and that's thru agents inside that are acting as a third party.

I hate to say this, but the number of gamblers getting addicted to gambling is increasing rapidly, and it's affecting many people in a negative way. I'm not against gambling in general, but always, always gamble responsibly. Illegal gambling websites will always pop up no matter what happens, and we've already seen some online influencers promoting them despite the fact that the authorities are trying to ban them. The best thing that they can do is to just warn other people about these influencers promoting illegal gambling websites. As for the impact, I don't think that it's that huge because let's face it. Those legal gambling sites are still earning way more compared to these illegal gambling websites.

Re: [Boxing] Thurman vs. Fundora - WBC World Super Welterweight - Jan. 17th
in Gambling discussion
What is your speculation on this fight and what is your prediction? I am speculating that this will be difficult for Keith Thurman, however, he might win with a decision for this. Fundora is very tall but he might not be a very good boxer. The small King Ry on his wanted to challenge on Fundora after his victory against the crying Haney might be the warning sign that Fundora is winning because of his bigger size.

To be honest, I’m leaning more toward Sebastian Fundora in this matchup. He’s younger and far more active—fighting four times in the past two years—which I think is his biggest edge over Keith Thurman. Plus, he’s shown that his lanky frame carries real power, as we saw in the Tim Tszyu fight, where he proved he can go toe-to-toe and even abandon his jab advantage when necessary.
Height and reach advantage matters in this fight... at least for me, and Fundora isn't just a normal boxer that's amateur. Yes, Thurman can be considered a great fighter, but Fundora is as well that's why he's a title holder, and he's holding it for a reason - he can fight toe-to-toe with his opponents. He's not some kind of title holders like Barrios where he's too weak to hold a title for very long.

I'm also leaning on Fundora to defend his title on this one. It's a bit unfortunate that this didn't create that much noise online... or maybe it's just me who felt it that way. Cheesy

Re: AI-generated NFTs: The next big thing?
in Altcoin Discussion
---
But what if someone turns AI-generated art into NFTs? Will it become viral? Or will it be just another passing fad like the NFT craze of user-made digital art? Also, what are the legal implications of doing such a thing? Will the person selling AI-generated art for profit be accused of copyright infringement (assuming the AI used copyrighted content)?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
It will just be the same as to what happened with NFTs. Also, with how easy it is to generate AI pictures nowadays, people can just generate pictures here and there, register it as an NFT and then sell it. It will be oversaturated that majority of them don't have any value at all. A person can just generate a thousand AI pictures, register it as an NFT then sell it.

Some might have a value, but most will not. If this happen, this will be what I call as "Meme coin Mania 2.0" where anybody can just generate their own picture and sell, same thing when anybody can just create their own meme coin then market it to have investor to sell it. Will it become viral? It will be, but for just a short amount of time because let's face it. There will still be investors that will try and buy those AI-generated NFTs for them to resell it, and that's why many investors are losing their money.

Overall, I will not be surprised if there will be people that will try and do this, but I don't think that it will become a mainstream media just like what happened with meme coins when pump.fun became popular.

Re: [NEWS]Roblox targeted in the Philippines for resembling gambling
in Gambling discussion
---
Parents are complaining that Roblox games take up too much of their children's time, causing them to neglect their studies, become disobedient, and spend their allowance on the game. It's good that the government is taking a firm stand on banning Roblox because it's not a simple game anymore, it resembles gambling
They said it to Binance, and they did, but those who are a bit techy know some loopholes, and they can still access it. Same with MEXC. I'm not saying that it's the same, but techy people will always find a way to access something, and this isn't different at all.

While I don't believe that they'll completely ban Roblox on April 3rd, I still believe that this will have a big help towards the parents of the kids because majority of them might not even know the loopholes that they can do to still have access to the game. Downloading APKs will help them gain access still, right? This move by them targets those kids out there who are being exploited and some are even going into some sexual things and if you're the parent, you will find it very disturbing. We've seen some news of kids raging because of some games that even parents are having a hard time stopping them.

I'm not sure though if how the games resembles gambling, or will the government ban it because of gambling-related issues? I haven't heard one TBH.

Re: Another scam/fake trading platform in the PH
in Pilipinas
Alam na natin to.

They claimed to be registered  in US and Australia exchange securities, pero hindi naman ni recognized na registered sila sa US or Australia.
---

At the end of the day, matatalino tayong tao dito at alam natin na scam yan. Cheesy

Re: 2026 PBA Governor's Cup
in Gambling discussion
any news already on who Magnolia’s new import is? feels like they really need to get this right asap

They’re at risk of getting eliminated early if they don’t start winning soon. right now they’re sitting at the bottom with a 0-3 record, tied with the guest team (https://pba.ph/standings)
Not sure if it’s just the import issue or something deeper with the team, but they really need to turn things around fast  Sad
Sometimes, the chemistry just doesn't work between the import and other players thus, losing streak happens, and we know that this isn't new when it comes to conferences that has imports like what we have right now.

Looking at the standings, I'm also leaning towards the fact that Converge might also change their import if they will not wins. I mean they're 1-3 right now, and with how star-studded their team is right now, it seems like their performance as a whole isn't what many are expecting. They have a good roster and probably way better than most teams out there. I wonder if their import has a problem as well but going back to Magnolia, it's good that they changed their import already so they can try and at least get a spot on the playoffs. The guest team hasn't won a game as well, so I wonder how this will affect them in their future games.
