Gabriel Sara's goals were great, and yet they still criticize him what more can he do? Galatasaray got off to a good start with an early goal. Karagmrk somehow managed to score, and conceding a goal against the last-placed team in the league isn't ideal. Ultimately, we got three points, that's what I'm focusing on. The defensive concentration wasn't that great; I'm only worried about tougher opponents. This match served its purpose for now we need to prepare better for the next games.
Your concerns are valid because if you noticed what happened in the last couple of weeks, the defense has let down the team a couple of times and it ultimately to Galatasaray losing the Turkey super cup final to Fenerbahce. I dunno but I've always know Galatasaray's defense to be very weak. I remember watching them a year or 2 ago losing 2-0 to 3-0 leads.
Galatasaray is still the team with the best attacking organization in Trkiye. They managed to overcome their defensive problems and proved this in their attacking power. They showed us a fantastic defensive performance against Liverpool in the Champions League. If they can do something similar against Manchester City, maybe they'll have a chance. Right now, it seems difficult for them to withstand Manchester City's magnificent players with these defenders, but nothing is impossible in football. They also won their last match in the Turkish league and maintained their lead. I don't know how they will lose points from now on, but the exhausting Champions League schedule is causing them to tire out in Turkey. We can see this in the matches.
Galatasaray is only playing well in the Turkish League, because I feel theyre more equipped in that League and there is no other team that is really strong enough to Challenge them in that League, Besiktas and Fenerbahce are only there in the League they arent really a competition or Challenge to Galatassary, the Turkish League is different from the Champions League, Manchester City is also trying to qualify in the top 8 of the Champions League position, so dont expect an easy game for Galatasaray.
I watched the Galatasaray game against Liverpool in the Champions League, I will admit it wasnt a good performance but just a game full of bad tactical play, Galatasaray wasnt even ready to play that game, they were always falling to the ground and luckily they got a penalty but it was a terrible game to watch from Galatassary and they only won because they played at home, I dont see how they will beat Manchester City or get a result against Manchester City at the Etihad its absolutely impossible for Galatasaray, somethings are impossible in football nowadays, dont get too excited.
I think I agree with you. I watched Galatasaray yesterday when they played away against Karagmrk. Their performance wasn't very encouraging. Yes, they won 3-1, but with this kind of play, they can only win matches in the Turkish league. It's impossible for them to beat Manchester City in the Champions League, not even away. Maybe they could get a draw on a very lucky day. Because Galatasaray has been on a very bad run lately. They played very badly against us in the Super Cup, and we beat them and won the cup. Now, I think Manchester City will score at least three goals against Galatasaray at home. Galatasaray's defense leaves too many gaps, and as Fenerbahe, we haven't been able to take advantage of them much, but a player like Haaland would tear Galatasaray's defense apart.
