Re: What happens when the majority of households can't save
in Economics
No. We just see inaction. And this inaction of course only helps the large owners.

I think this is exactly the problem, and the inaction is caused by the fact that the problem benefits the big corporations. I belief if a government is actually proactive and anticipate problems, if they actually care about the lives of the proplr in the country, they can make it better. They can control inflation, find initiatives that will create jobs and create an environment where it is easy for people to start up businesses.
In most countries, the two main reasons why people can't save are inflation and because they don't have jobs. Some people have jobs that earn good money, but inflation has eaten deep into the economy, so the money they make no longer has any purchasing power.
The government needs to invest heavily in the people and small and medium-scale businesses, and also make sure the cost of things are at reasonable.

Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season
in Gambling discussion
It is so funny how people are judging game right now, I know the reason you said Galatasaray can possibly get points from Manchester city that is winning them is because of what they played against Bodo glimt and I know anything is possible in game of football but that doesn't mean or signify that Manchester city will lose to Galatasaray. I see Manchester city coming back with full force from this week because Arsenal has given them reason to wake up and I believe Pep Guardiola even though he's not long at his prime this season.

You've already said it, "anything is possible". It's football. Manchester City being at home is a big disadvantage, but Galatasaray has a chance. We expected City to come with full force against Bodo after they lost to Manchester United, but they did not, so there is a chance that they will also fail to show up with full force in this game.

Against Bodo Glimt, Manchester United play a very high line, yet they couldn't press accordingly. If you want to play such a high line, they would need to press very effectively. Galatasaray are a team that are good at pressing too, so if they do it better than City, then they are in trouble.
I know who the favourites are, obviously, but Galatasaray has a chance, a bigger chance than Bodo/Glimt even.

Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for 2026
in Speculation
I'm curious, who are the guys who voted yes.  It would've been nice to have a voting process with the names of the voters known just to see who's bullish and who's bearish.  Grin Grin

I voted "yes".
I am not very confident in my yes, though, but I am more bullish than I am bearish for the year.
I believe this year would be similar to last year. There will be a lot of ups and downs. the fact the year started bearing doesn't mean it will remain so. They year is still very long and a lot can happen. Currently. the biggest hinderance of Bitcoin is the geopolitical unrest going on and even at that, the price is not free falling even though its not looking good. So if such unrest can be going on and the price is still in the 80k range, then there is a lot of hope for the year because I don't believe there will be many more times like now this year.
just this year, the price has gotten to $97k, despite all that is going on, so, I'm hopeful.

Re: Can Bitcoin Thrive??
in Bitcoin Discussion

I don't think Trump is manipulating the price of Bitcoin, but that is, by the way.

If by "they" you mean the government and the top people who own 90% of the world's wealth, then I don't think there is anything they can do about it. Its an open source, decentralized system, so they can't stop it from every single angle. They can attack developers or miners, but there will always be a way. Except they pull there resources together to carry out a 51% attack on the network, which would not be benfitial to them in anyway, I don't see what they can do.
And some of the people who own 90% of the worlds wealth are now pro bitcoin, so that hypothesis is dead already.

If they simply decide to stay away from bitcoin, the average people will use it. There will always be a market for Bitcoin at least for the foreseeable future.

Re: How can I quickly learn the technical aspects of Bitcoin?
in Beginners & Help
A quick and direct answer to the question you asked;you can learn the technical aspects of bitcoin quickly when you read more on articles concerning the technical aspects of bitcoin and it doesnt end there,as youre learning about the technical aspects it would be more better if you try out what youre learning in essence practical is a crucial aspect of learning faster. You can also subscribe to channels where bitcoin technicality is always discussed,as you follow up tutorials with time youll become conservant and more knowledgeable about the technical aspects of bitcoin.

You cannot "quickly" learn the technical aspect of Bitcoin.
You have to learn the basic and non-technical part first, and know everything there is to know about this part of it. When all those aspects are very easy for you, and you can explain all aspects without any difficulties, that is why you can stand a chance to understand the technical part.
It's easier for people who are programmers or people who code, but for someone who doesn't have an idea about codes, I honestly do not know how you're going to understand the technical part of it because it's complicated.

What a beautiful start in the second half as Dorgu has given United the lead 1-2 with a brilliant shot which went straight to the top corner and hit the goal post into the net. I call that goal angle 90.

I hope it stays like this to the end of the game. I took a gamble with United to win. I wasn't expecting it to happen but its happening. United are playing very well and Arsenal are not creating many chances. If United defend the set pieces well, I think they might get the win out of this game. It would be a wonderful achievement for United to win two big teams in a row.

I am seeing something different in this team since Carrick took over as the coach. United players are very confident and focused with their games. However, it's not yet over until it's over. United defense looks very strong in this game.
There is improvement with United. They press better, they release the ball faster and now play as a team. Its too early to tell, but Carrick is already better than Amorim. With Amorim, there is no way they won have won UNited and had hopes of winning Arsenal.  This is what a coach does to a team.

Yes, I think similarly about this. Even with ten men, Manchester City should have won this match. However, they couldn't achieve that, resulting in a surprising defeat. They are still fighting to be in the top eight. Therefore, Manchester City absolutely needs to beat Galatasaray in their last match. To be honest, as a Turk, I don't think Galatasaray can withstand Manchester City. I hope Galatasaray can get a victory like the one against Bodo, but it's important to remember that this match will be much tougher.

I think Galatasaray can get points from Manchester City. Man City is not in the form they used to be, and it's evident in their previous games. Winning Man City is not as difficult as you think, except that they show up with a different performance.

Galatasaray may not be in elite form, but they're good. They have shown that they can make things difficult for anybody. Losing to Union SG was the surprise. They took points from Atleti, won Monaco, Ajax and even the Bodo/Glint that won Manchester City, so they have what it takes to get at least a draw and secure their place in the play-offs.

You're not seeing a rebuild because you're not watching Tottenham Hotspur games. Besides, do you expect a quick fix when you kick off such a rebuild?! It don't happen overnight,  it takes multiple transfers which involves in and out to get that done and the incoming transfers has got to be to right names who can push the project forward.  Brentford United, had this inconsistency when they came to the Premier League, but it took games and games for him to get that right for them. I'm honestly counting on him to have Tottenham Hotspur transformed.

I don't watch all their games, but I watch them enough. Tottenham are still that unbelievable team. They may not be a big team, but they have no business in 15th position. I don't expect an easy fix, I do not expect them to win every game, but we should be able to see the improvement in the way they pray.
A coach needs time, but you should see changes before you can say that the coach is doing well.
Brentford and Tottenham are not the same teams; they have different quality of players and different expectations. I don't know if he can transform Tottenham, but for now, I have not seen any improvements.

Re: Does Donald Trumps posses potential of influencing bitcoin price?
in Bitcoin Discussion
I think the retailers don't care about Donald Trump's policies and they want to accumulate bitcoin but it's the institutions that pay more attention to him and buy/sell bitcoin based on his policies. Since the institutions have more money, they can buy more bitcoin, and if they sell it, the impact is more significant on the bitcoin price.

This is true, to an extent. The institutions pay more attention to the policies, and they focus more on profit, but some retailers sell or buy based on the actions of the institutions. If the institutions sell, the price drops and out of panic, some retailers sell, which will further drop the price. The same happens when the institutions buy, when FOMO makes more retailers buy too.
Traders also follow the policies of the government. They can speculate on an event to cause a dip and anticipate it by selling or going short.

While Trump is a pro-bitcoin president, the world's uncertain economic and war-like political situation doesn't let the institutions invest in bitcoin, and the global M2 money supply is going into metals like Gold and Silver.

I was not expecting him to do anything significant with Bitcoin anyway. Being pro-bitcoin and causing economic and political unrest is not favourable to bitcoin. I always found it funny when people thought he would make policies that would directly benefit Bitcoin. Bitcoin is not that significant to him.

Honestly, Fvck them, but Thomas Frank being shown the exit?! Naaaa, that will not be happening.
Thomas Frank was literally brought in for the rebuild of Tottenham Hotspur, and also, they're not a big club as Manchester United who will want their manager sacked already for being this poor.

But we are not seeing a rebuild; the team keeps performing badly. I don't believe he would be sacked either during the season, but he might leave at the end of the season.
I don't believe in giving a manager too much time to make a difference. If a manager is rebuilding a team, there should be signs of the rebuild. We should be able to look at the team and say,, "They have improved in this area and that area".
When you look at Tottenham, there is not much improvement aside from the fact that they are slightly better than they were last season. Being in the top eight of the UCL is the only thing going well for them right now and even that is no certain yet because they need to win Frankfurt away from home next week.
