Re: Is it a cause of concern if your employer frequent casinos?
in Gambling discussion
This is coming from a friend, he's been with a company that is a restaurant and a catering service for 15 years, and is a regular employee. This is not really a big company, but it's been stable for the last 20 years.
But he learned that the owner became hooked in casino, and he was just starting to frequent casinos.

Now he is asking me, is it a big concern if your employer starts to frequent casinos? Or he is just speculating that it will harm the company eventually.
I have some questions which I need to ask your friend who is the employee
Does your employer have a manager that runs the business or he manages the business himself?

Does he have an accountant or he manages the finances himself?

I wouldn't see it as a big deal if the employer is not directly running the business himself. But if he controls everything himself like a sole proprietor, I will be worried.

Re: Why I think Bitcoin is priceless and eternal!
in Bitcoin Discussion
But in my opinion, BTC won't last forever, as I believe the apocalypse will eventually occur, and all living things will die. So, I think now is a good opportunity to accumulate BTC, as it will certainly rise significantly in the future, and those selling at the current price will likely regret it in the future.
If the world stops functioning and bitcoin ceases to exist as well, we can say Bitcoin ended well because it didn't take anyone by surprise while everything was still functioning normally. To think about it, who would be there to talk about bitcoin if all living things die?

I am very optimistic about bitcoin. Bitcoin will continue to remain relevant as long as the world still exist and political and economic activities are functioning smoothly as well. Bitcoin has existed for quite a long time and with evidence of growth and consistency. I see no reason for anyone to doubt its ability to hit $1m and even more. It is very possible as long as there is life.

Re: Switzerland Could Not Even Get 100,000 Signatures to Adopt Bitcoin as Reserves!
in Bitcoin Discussion
Do you think if a similar campaign were launched in your country, advocates there could manage to get 100,000 people to sign? Or is public interest in Bitcoin still too minor for that kind of constitutional change in your country?
I doubt that we would get up to 100,000 people to sign in favour of Bitcoin in my country. This is not necessarily out of hatred for Bitcoin, but because of poor knowledge of Bitcoin or a total lack of knowledge about it.

Many people in my country do not really understand what Bitcoin is. It is quite unfortunate that even up till today, some people still think Bitcoin is a scam. There is no way the political leaders will give consent to a Bitcoin reserve without proper understanding. Much effort will have to be put into trying to convince them to accept Bitcoin and to properly educate them on what it is.

As for Switzerland, it is their loss. In years to come, they may realise that they made a big mistake, and by that time, they may not need any signatures to make decisions concerning Bitcoin.

Re: Don't overthink -WIN
in Gambling discussion
You are right. Overthinking is just another way of giving yourself very high expectations for your games, such that when things don't go as expected, the loss hurts even deeper. Everyone wants to win, but I would rather advise that they keep an open mind. Analyze your bets well, be confident, enjoy the process, bet with what you can afford to lose, and relax. Whatever the outcome is, accept it and move on. No overthinking, no high expectations, and no overconfidence because the game can take a different turn even with all the effort put into it.
Gambling is unpredictable, so you cannot be so sure it will go as you have predicted.
You’re very correct, overthinking is one of the major things that affect people in gambling. Once you put too much expectation from any game that you bet, and then you encounter any small losses it will look like the world had come to an end, which is not supposed to be so. So the best mind set is to be calm and free your mind. Be sure of your game very well, and enjoy the process. Always remember that you can only invest with money you can afford to lose. Over Confidence can deceive someone to lose more because gambling does not guarantee steady profit. No matter how you are very  sure about the game, and no matter how you predict it you will still face loses.
I personally do not think that it is wise for anyone who has many thoughts running through his mind to go ahead gambling, especially if those thoughts make losing scare him a lot. If someone is afraid of losing, he can decide not to play at all and avoid risking money he cannot afford to lose.

When a person gambles, what he needs is confidence, a stable state of mind, and an open mindset to accept whatever the outcome may be. Overthinking things does not make one win; it only puts unnecessary pressure on the person.
