Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025
in Gambling discussion
It's actually quite difficult to compare the performance of Chelsea players because they have a lot of competitors there so when Arsenal are interested in Noni Madueke it means they are looking at it from another side. Apart from that, Madueke is a young player 23 years old well maybe Arsenal wants to implement long term investment, who knows in the next 1-2 seasons his market value will reach 100 million.

A long term investment that will end with the same result, is like Arteta doesn't have a better plans for the Gunners, no bright future. Madueke isn't good for Arsenal to go for him and the way Chelsea allowed him go says it all. When he first joined the Blues without getting that game time, he wanted to leave while complaining and as soon as they start giving him that opportunity it got into his head, a regular starter that felt he can't be replaced and the impact is nothing to write home about. The painful part was that Arteta didn't hesitate on this Madueke's deal, not even up to a week or two and the next thing he's wear jersey number 20 but look at how long is taking him to secure a deal with Sporting CP for Viktor Gyökeres, what a shame.

According to a news report, Rashford won't immediately be a key starter in the lineup. However, this doesn't mean his role isn't important. He will be a key player on the bench, available for various rotations.

Source: ansi Flick on Marcus Rashford

Is Barcelona going to add more pains to the young man's life or should I call it regret? If Flick thinks Rashford isn't going to be a started they should have left him to hang on what Manchester United are going to feed him with, he's a baller and a starter...after all Barcelona have better players on the pitch and on the bench as well so why make Rashford a player to call "IF" ("if someone is injured or unavailable he can play")? I still wonder why Aston Villa didn't go for the English man before now after all he did better for the club last campaign and as for him playing for Barcelona or should I say him sitting on the bench for Barcelona, I don't think he'll have anything big to show or convince them that he deserves to start for the team, we might see less of him next season but if he knows about this development and agrees with it then he's the one who choose to be a bench starter that isn't sure of starting 25 games next season.

These are players that I will surely be looking out for next season. Next season should be their breakout season and I am expecting big things to come from these players. I hope Madueke shines for Arsenal and shuts his critics, he is a good player and has a good atmosphere to showcase his qualities next season.

Madueke is an incredible player no doubt but I don't think he is what the Gunners need at the moment and up till now I haven't figure it out how or what made Arteta to look in that direction of buying the player. You have more than 3 wingers and you still go for Madueke or is Saka's time running up at Arsenal? Those areas needs better challenge like adding Rodrygo from Madrid instead.
There's no harm in expanding the squad ahead of the very busy season but how are they going to manage with a player who's almost like Martinelli in all aspects only that Madueke knows when to release the ball except he hasn't activated that side of him being all about himself while Martinelli don't know what to do with the in a one on one situation. I might be wrong at the end of everything about Madueke but I wish to see him convince I and all the Arsenal fans that he is better for the team.

The annoying part of all these is that when they finally get this player with all this delay let it not be that they can't still win any trophy because it will be a shameful thing. I agree with you, the Gunners should have spent that money they paid for Madueke for the fee of Viktor Gyökeres since they lack a number 9 at least that position don't have to be vacant anymore, imagine if the transfer window is to close today that means the Gunners are ending it without an attacker, too bad.
~snip

Only a manager knows what he wants and the players that suits his style of play. Till this very minute, Arsenal fans are still yet to understand why Arteta doesn't prioritize a very good striker. After 3 consecutive failure to win the premier league, you should expect that signing a striker ought to be the very first thing since Havertz isn't even that prolific and clinical enough. Madueke's deal was probably an unnecessary deal for them. Maybe a second place this season isn't a threat to Arteta's job anyways, so the fans will have to go over and over again with the same problem, while the manager doesn't care much.

Kai has been up to speed when he started playing the role of an attacker with the goals he scored, he tried honestly and that alone gave Arsenal that hope of getting far as to winning the EPL title but luck wasn't on their side like we know and as soon as injury came the ball game changed for Arsenal which is normal for ever other team, if you don't have a better replacement things will never do well as far as the EPL is concerned.
Kai Havertz doesn't have that speed and strength to take on defenders and many of the defenders are not too worried about Havertz whenever he's with the ball, talking about the defenders even if he's a bit tricky. Is only few defenders that are worried but when we talk about Viktor Gyökeres things will definitely change and the EPL defenders will have that fear of not exposing their defense. For me I'd say Arteta have one more shot at getting a title for the club and let's see how he'll perform this coming season.

The Chelsea player Madueke isn't as important as the attacker from Sporting so they should have gone for him first.
One thing about the media is that they give us what we want to hear not that they are giving false news, no...they use whatever way to spice up the news to corespond with the situation of any deal that's if they can't get anything positive that's why we're always coming back to this very deal. Let's wait and see if it will be done tonight or next week like you said.
Arsenal played coordinated ball last season and just had few loopholes that needed attention and now that they have finally listened to the fans and gone to purchase a striker I just hope that it will help them. There's too much expectations on Gyokores and with the fact that he netted a lot of lot of goals, fans would be hoping that this would not change when he comes.
The Gunners need an option in the middle to help convert chances that some of the players who Arteta used could not and that's where Victor Gyokores comes in. Fans need to understand that even though the goals would come in, if they can't maintain a clean record, it would be pointless if when Gyokores comes he scores lots of goals.

The Gunners will do better with Viktor Gyökeres in their squad and when it comes to those important crosses that we hardly see anyone to convert it, I feel it won't be a problem any more because he'll be there to put it into the back of the net. The fans will be happy to have him and at the same time that high expectation you talked about will be much because they'd like to see all he did at Sporting CP to be done and even better at Arsenal and we shouldn't blame the fans if they start talking much about him especially when he start banging goals, they're ready to talk about it like they won a title... something special can happen for Arteta and his boys.
I believe that Arsenal will provide more scoring opportunities for the striker and if they continue with the way they played last season I see Viktor Gyökeres getting more than 20+ goals (if they sign him) so goals shouldn't be a problem. And now that they are involved in 4 competitions I believe injuries, fatigue even red cards should not be a problem for them to lose games any how like they did last campaign.

Is good to hear that both side have come to an agreement and the striker will have his peace of mind. Many of us never thought of him going back to Galatasaray even myself because the EPL teams are the ones looking likely to get him especially Chelsea in particular but it seems they ain't serious about him. If he had player for Napoli then whatever comes he shouldn't complain about it because they really hurt him when he was seriously showing how much he love the club.
Al-Hilal are never in the mood to give up on getting him and if care is not taken they could still be checking up on him like 2 to 3 years later to see if he's willing to join them. But I was thinking that he would have joined one of these Europe clubs maybe any of the power house that always shows up in the champions league but Galatasaray is not that consistent if you ask me, maybe he'll only struggle with the team to stop at the round of 16 or quarter finals...let's hope he continues showcasing his ability in the Turkish league.
It is not "official" yet, as in the papers are not signed yet. However, it looks like there are no teams interested in Osimhen outside of Galatasaray and Al Hilal. Napoli knows that since this 75 million release clause ended, they could get a lot more, and Al Hilal would be willing to pay a lot more, but Osimhen himself doesn't want to go there, which means Galatasaray is literally the only team. So, of course they are going to make a deal, but we are not going to really see a deal that is fair to anyone.

Galatasaray is overpaying for Osimhen, a player who nobody agrees to pay that much, but he is a player that would be best ever transfer for the whole league history, so they are using this chance where they can't reject such a possibility.

From what I read that should incase Galatasaray gets his signature they won't sell him to any Italian club for 2 years and I asked myself why is it that Napoli are just looking for a way to frustrate the player the more, or is it how they choose to say farewell to the player? What if the player would love to come back to any of the Italian side, that means he had to decline every offers that comes for 2 years? This is too hard I must say, for someone who helped them win a major trophy.
Galatasaray really need someone like him after all he played little part of the season and still became the highest goal scorer so tell me why they won't battle to get him since he doesn't want the Al Hilal move? And again, Napoli are giving Galatasaray by Monday to conclude everything; Galatasaray will pay €40m (£34m/$46m) up front and the remaining €35m (£30m/$40m) will be sent to Napoli by 2026. The deal also includes a critical clause: Osimhen can't be sold to an Italian team for two years.

Why are the Gunners delaying to put an end to this transfer madness? It would be best to pay up everything before the hijackers start flying in. Missed the old days when a player has agreed personal terms and the rest and when it comes to the medical period another club will show interest even pay higher to get the player and that's the end...hope they get everything done before the end of today so that the player will join them in their pre-season tour.
Maybe they enjoy being the center of attention. Since they can't win trophies to headline news like that, they feel this would be better. It's annoying that Arsenal can have such an amount lying around to purchase Noni Madueke who in my opinion they don't need but can't cough up a mere £10m to complete Gyokores' deal because if you ask me, the Swedish playmaker is of more necessity than Madueke. Let's see what the media would have for us from next week because I read somewhere that he was due for a medical on Friday yesterday.
For us to have not heard anything new, maybe the news of the medical wasn't a genuine one.

If Manchester United have been chasing a player for the past 3 months and they finally got the player's signature yesterday then what is holding Arsenal from completing the deal on Viktor Gyökeres? Yesterday it was said that the Gunners are getting close (so we have been hearing) to completing the deal and from what I saw:
Quote
According to The Athletic, personal terms are agreed with the player on a five-year deal, with a fee now agreed in principle for an initial €63.5m plus a further €10m in add

I think Arsenal intend to clear Gyokeres's deal as soon as possible. The problem is that his team is making it even more complicated with various reasons. It gives vibes his club is still reluctant in releasing him to the Arsenal. It's very ridiculous to see how his transfer has dragged.
He's refusing to return to the his club while his club doesn't care to him. This surely the main problem.

We've been seeing the same news over and over published by the same news merchants. At this point i just waiting for final announcement or don't care anymore about what progress being made on his transfer.
This is obvious how his club is playing a hardball to the Arsenal. This can become an awareness for other clubs to never ever deal with Sporting.

For me the fans of Arsenal should not panic on this deal because the whole issue has been solved 2 days back is just that the club that's Sporting CP are looking for a way to chase the Gunners off this deal which I feel is the same punishment they are giving to the player Viktor Gyökeres.
They want this transfer to be like that of Osimhen before joining Galatasaray last transfer market back in January but I don't see any need for this deal to be as hard as the Gunners winning a trophy. It won't take up to a week before they finally agree on whatever is holding them. Who's fault is it for this deal to take this long?
