Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A)

But Fabregas is truly talented! The fact that he's managed to lead Como for two years in a row shows he knows what he's doing. But i don't think he'll accept offers from other clubs right now; it would be counterproductive for him, given that he's been enjoying success and good performances at Como. So i really hope he continues to work hard for his current club and we'll see what surprises he can come up with.

I’m not entirely convinced that Fabregas will leave Como at the end of the season because he’s a minority shareholder in the club and therefore has every interest in the team doing well; this way, he can keep a closer eye on the young talents who, once sold, will generate capital gains and thus profit. Furthermore, he could gain experience as a manager in the Champions League with Como, without all the pressure that comes with a top team. Sooner or later he will move to a big club, but I don’t think it will be soon.

Re: Exit strategy fuori dall'Italia

Re: Few tips to avoid gambling addiction, add yours.
in Gambling discussion
The biggest problem with addiction is that it's a sort of 'silent enemy.' By the time you realize it, you're already completely hooked, and identifying that isn't simple. Most people only admit they're addicted when they're completely lost and their lives have practically collapsed... So, you need to exercise extreme caution and really keep your greed in check, because it’s greed that leads a person to ruin.

Addiction is a deadly disease that takes time to get the cure and if one is not careful how it is handled you will see the person who claim to have recovered go back into becoming more addicted. Addicted people do not accept because they have the mindset that they are doing the best thing for themselves but when they have lost it all that's the only time you can agree that they have been addicted for long and by then it becomes very late for them because they have lost it all. If one can avoid being greedy and selfish there are chances of not becoming too addicted and if you see anyone who struggles to stop a particular addiction the best thing is to render help to them because they can't help themselves.

Both of you had a good point, particularly on the development of gambling addiction that is silent and usually combined with denial. People have the illusion that they are not going too far when they already are. To prevent this, one should have a rigid limit on time and money and should never pursue losses since that is where all goes bad. Gambling is never supposed to be a means of earning money, it should be treated as entertainment. Breaks and telling yourself the truth about what you are doing may go a long way. The process of addiction is a way that starts as soon as you stop thinking about yourself.

I completely agree with you, the best way to gamble is to set yourself a strict spending limit, once you have spent that money, you need to stop and do something else. If you lose control, it is best to seek help as soon as possible to avoid dipping into your savings and ruining your life.  I have seen people with plenty of money spend a fortune on lotteries and slot machines, you really need to be very careful expecially when you are feeling down.

Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A)

Fiorentina made a comeback. They are in pretty good form now. They have picked up  points in the last few matches and managed to get out of the relegation zone. Perhaps they will be able to qualify for serie a. The team was badly disorganized. They played well  last season. They should definitely try to  strengthen the squad a bit more. But due to bad defense, the team was in the relegation  zone for a long time this season. Fiorentina is now  2 points ahead of lecce.

Until they can secure that position by the end of the season, their situation cannot be called safe, even though they are leading Lecce by 2 points, nobody knows what will happen in their upcoming matches. so, they need to stay careful and keep improving their game to continue earning points, so that they can stay in Serie A next season.

Fiorentina are truly in a strange position that doesn’t suit them they have some excellent players and a good club, so it is hard to explain what’s going on. They will probably avoid relegation in the end, but De Gea, Kean and others deserve better and deserve to play in Europe, so I fear that many of them will leave this summer during the transfer window.

Re: Gen Z Killed ‘Playing It Safe’ Now It’s Crypto Betting or Nothing?
in Gambling discussion
I mean its kinda hard to blame them though right? The housing market is shit. Everything is down and most currencies are at all times lows and they grew up seeing bitcoin and crypto rise like crazy
Yeah, inflation is making people seek alternative sources of income. And some are ignorantly choosing gambling as one of the sources of income. The economy is biting everybody but those who choose gamblingg end up becoming poorer. Gambling produces big winners once in a while but the chances of winning such high amount is slim.

I agree with you that gambling rarely pays out big wins in fact, as I often say, you should view gambling as a temporary form of entertainment rather than a source of extra income, because it makes no sense to see it that way. Above all, you need to set a budget and then walk away from the game, because gambling is a way to pass a few minutes, not a way to beat inflation.

Re: la guerra o altri eventi tipo cigno nero, possono influenzare bitcoin

Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread
in Gambling discussion
I think what he meant was that Italy?s chances of winning the World Cup are so slim that they?re comparable to Saudi Arabia winning the World Cup ? in other words, truly slim. And that?s true: we don?t stand a chance of winning! (We?d have to qualify first, for a start.)
But I?d say the comparison with the national teams he mentioned is completely off the mark.

I think that the chances are never zero, however let's remember that there are players who are excellent and who have also played in Champions League finals and played in and won very important competitions, so i can't say that if Italy qualifies they will never be able to win the World Cup, anything can happen.

I think it’s already a miracle that Italy have managed to qualify for the World Cup after all this time, given the lack of quality players they have. In my personal opinion, winning is practically impossible; we should consider simply taking part a great achievement, and getting through the group stage the best we can hope for, but the first time they face top-class teams like Germany, France, Argentina or Brazil, they won’t stand a chance.

Re: Being called a gambler, compliment or insult?
in Gambling discussion
Do you feel proud and see it as some kind of compliment, like someone who takes risks and knows what they’re doing. Or do you feel a bit insulted, like it’s something negative and not really something to be proud of?

Curious how others see it, especially since gambling means different things to different people.

In our country, it’s an insult or a mockery since gambling here is branded as negative activity even if you are using it for entertainment purposes.

People automatically judge you as wasting money or irresponsible even though they don’t know exactly how you spend money on gambling.

Until now, only my close friend and wife only knew I’m gambling online.
It's very common in my country too, reason being that many people still see gambling as something that's very bad, so once they hear that you're gambling, they will start judging you, and see you as an irresponsible person or you're wasting your money, they won't even bother to know if it's just for entertainment or for fun. That's why many people prefer to keep it private, just like you said, it's not everything we are supposed to share with everyone, especially when the society judge it without knowing the full story. As for me as long as I know how to manage it, set limit, gamble responsibly, and it doesn't negatively affect my financial life and my life, it doesn't really bother me what people are saying. So, as long as it doesn't turn to addiction and it doesn't take control of your life, you can handle it in a responsible and private manner.

Exactly my point, this are common things in my area also and the people that gamble are used to the "terms " gambler so even if they call me/ them gambler we don't worry ourselves anymore, it's better they know where our money is going though, we are individuals differences in the gambling aspects, some may take it as play when calling you the name gambler, while some may say it or called you with haterrlate because they are angry at you due to how much you have been losing in gambling day by day. We know how gambling have damaged or ruined people's lives, due to how well they have been addicted to gambling. So the best thing is to put limits on anything gambling if not, nothing would achieve without plans. Lastly to me calling me agambler is a normal thing to me not an insult.

Where I come from, people look down on you and call you a gambler even if they just see you putting a penny into a slot machine at the local pub. Maybe someone goes out for a beer to unwind after a hard day’s work; they don’t feel like talking to anyone, so they put a couple of coins into the slot machine just to clear their head, and they call you a gambler with contempt. Then, if anyone’s thinking of giving you a job, they will think twice.

Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26
in Gambling discussion
I don't know which club I should place my bet on because this is an unpredictable match to me. I don't think that Barcelona will just sit down and watch Atletico eliminate then twice from two different competitions because Barcelona isn't a weakly. Barcelona is known to be better than Atletico and I expect them to prove that in the quarter finals.

It is very difficult to say how things will turn out between barcelona and atletico madrid. On the one hand, the bookmakers have barcelona as favourites at 1.50, whilst atletico madrid are at 5.50; on the other hand, Simeone manages to get his players to give 150% in certain matches, so I think that 5.50 odds are actually too harsh on Atletico. To be on the safe side, I would bet on Barcelona, but if I really want to take a gamble, I would go for atletico madrid. They can always make a surprise.
