Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1)
in Gambling discussion

This is it then. Yesterday PSG secured another title. This is their 14th French league championship in history. Lens won only once in 1997-98 season, so 28 years ago.
Lens played a decent game and actually dominated in terms of the number of shots on goal and good scoring chances created. It was too late anyway, and the win wouldn't change much. Even if Lens defeated PSG and won against Lyon on Sunday, and if PSG lost to Paris FC, both Lens and PSG would have the same number of points but PSG has a way better goal difference, so Lens' chances were purely mathematical.

We should still have some action and excitement in the battle of the distribution of the rest of the European cup places (3 to 6). I'll post the current league standings and lets see how will they change after Sunday' round is completed:

Re: ⚽ Polish League - Ekstraklasa Prediction & Discussion Thread ⚽
in Gambling discussion
I'm really behind on the Ekstraklasa events, but I see Legia managed to bounce back from the bottom of the table and are now (almost) safe from the threat of relegation, sitting comfortably in the middle of the table, although technically they are still not 100% safe. So it's too soon for them to relax.
Lechia, due to the 5-point penalty deduction are now desperate for points to avoid dropping to the lower league. In the next game, both Lechia and Legia will face each other. It could be an interesting game. Legia will probably play defensively, due to the fact of playing away and to only needing one point to make sure they stay in Ekstraklasa for the next season.

I think Lech will likely celebrate this weekend. Even if they fail to beat Radomiak, there's a big chance GKS will stop the 2nd Jagiellonia.

This is my first time reading that it is possible for online casino employees to access the account of players for their personal benefit.
I don’t mean to shift the topic at hand but has there been any reports of this in the past from other online casinos and what did the casinos do when it was discovered that their employees tampered with a player’s account without authorization?

This is only a speculation at this point and we do not really know who/what was to blame for the whole thing.
Luckily, if I understand the situation correctly, whoever hacked/accessed those accounts was not able to withdraw the funds and was only able to gamble them, meaning funds only circulated within the system, so hopefully nobody was at a loss.

I don't recall any specific case of a rogue employee in any casino site, but, back in the days, it was not uncommon for more traditional businesses to have problems with employees stealing customers' credit card details, especially for businesses that allowed bookings over the phone.

Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26
in Gambling discussion
Yesterday Barcelona decided to play with a reserve squad. The result was not so great, but they have nothing at stake at the moment, so they can afford to take a more relaxed approach and do some experimenting.
Despite the 77% posession, Barcelona couldn't make a single shot on goal and lost to Alaves 1-0, which puts Alaves one point above relegation zone.

There are rumours about Lewandowski receiving a hard-to-ignore offer from Saudi Pro League club, Al-Hilal. The offer allegedly includes €90 million PER SEASON, which would be by far the highest Lewandowski has ever made. I have my doubts if the offer is really that good or if it's just a PR stunt. If it's real, I think he will go for it, even at the expense of safety (war still going on in the region) or his personal ambitions of partiipating in major European competitions.

Re: ⚽ Premier League 2025/2026 Discussion Thread ⚽
in Gambling discussion
Things have been a bit chaotic for Man City at the start of yesterday's game as Crystal Palace had two good scoring chances early on, but it was a one-sided show from there.
A 3-0 win means Man City now have a better goal difference than Arsenal: 43 compared to Arsenal's 42. Who knows, maybe this could turn out to be a championship-deciding factor.

Things are still looking better for Arsenal. Their 2 remaining games are:
Burnley (19) at home
Crystal Palace (15) away

Man City's remaining games:
Bournemouth (6) away
Aston Villa (5) at home

None of Arsenal's rivals have anything to play for other than win bonuses or a slightly better table position. Burnley can't escape relegation, and Palace are safely above the relegation zone, with no chance of securing European cup places.
For Man City, winning both of their games will be really hard. I think the Bournemouth game will be more difficult than the Villa one, even just due to the lack of home advantage.

Re: Bull, bear or crab? Where are we? A quick poll
in Speculation
Thanks to all who voted so far and shame on those who didn't  Grin  We would have twice as many votes if all of those who posted in this topic also bothered to cast a vote.
Just bumping it up for more visibility.

It looks like we have a small consensus, as everyone seems to agree that we are likely still in the bear market.

The actual market either disagrees or is not bothered with a long-term trend, as today we are up by +2.5%. The daily high went just a little over $82k.

The Fear & Greed CMC index is pointing exactly at the middle, with a neutral value of 50. I think that's more of a bearish sign, i.e. it means we can go much lower if the mood changes due to some negative macroeconomic news etc.

Im happy to report that all my 25K USD balance has been returned too, plus an extra bonus codes of 100 USD

Im glad by the speed of solution but still confused about what happened. They say a system glitch cause to automatic bet placements but this still does not explain why there also was a (failed) withdrawal attempt

Great to see a happy ending to that story and credit to 2up team for getting this sorted in the same day the problems were reported.
I hope that the money didn't flow out of the exchange and 2up also didn't incur any loss. I hope the admin will post an update here to explain what exactly went wrong and how someone was able to log in without email verification code.

I've checked my login sessions and do not see any suspicious activity or unknown locations. Hopefully, the number of affected accounts is small.

Imagine if Wolfsburg and St. Pauli draw and Heidenheim beat Mainz  Cheesy Which is easy to predict, by the way, since Heidenheim is playing at home against a demotivated Mainz. With this possibility in mind, Wolves will be obliged to win away to the Saints, an extremely confusing situation and it is difficult to understand who is the favorite or the underdog here.
But there is another big intrigue: will Bayern be able to score 5 goals to surpass Real Madrid's record for goals scored in a season.

Mainz attitude will play a big role here. They don't have much at stake, as they don't have any chances for European cups, but, if they lose, they could drop down a few places in the table, which means they would receive a bit less money, as the money pool is divided with consideration of clubs' league position.

If Mainz take the game seriously, I think Heidenheim will struggle to win and either St Pauli or Wolfsburg could snatch the 16th spot.

If both games end up with draws, Wolfsburg will get the play-offs. If Heidenheim loses to Mains and we have a draw in the other game, it would also benefit Wolfsburg. I don't expect St Pauli to allow a draw to happen. They would have to go all in eventually and either win, or get punished by Wolfsburg with a counterattack. Playing it safe will not be an option. It could be the fiercest game of the round, if not of the whole season  Grin

There's a big game coming up tomorrow. In an outstanding game of round 29, Lens will host PSG at home.
If PSG earns any points, they will be successful in defending their championship, so Lens absolutely must win it to preserve their chances of winning the league, and then, they will have to hope for a miracle: PSG losing to Paris FC and them defeating Lyon.
The chances are slim for Lens, but at least there are still chances. We don't often see any club giving PSG that much of a competition.

As for the odds, despite the home advantage, Lens are the underdog. The chances are roughly: 29% Lens, 24% draw, 47% PSG.
I'm considering betting on Lens, but I don't have much trust in them delivering. They have been showing some signs of fatigue in their recent games.

Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread
in Gambling discussion
Situation with Khamzat I think is very clear. He is no longer hungry. Years ago, when he lived, trained and worked (as a bouncer) in Sweden, when he was in charge of taking care of family, he was hungry. Now look at him. Fancy clothes, expensive watch collection (some of them were given as gifts, but now he started to collect them by himself), luxury cars, he is loved and worshiped in Emirates, his friendship with Ramzan Kadyrov (head of the Chechen Republic) who gave him Maybach GLS600 as a present. I dont think Khamzat is now hungry and really interested in fighting. Not to mention he is a modest (or try to look) person, that prefer to spend time with his mother at home.

P.S. From Youtube video blogging: before UFC 328, Chimaev went to gucci store and bought every member of his team and friends bags (backpacks, over the shoulder bags, wallets), just as a present. He was a coach in Russian fighting reality show and gave one of his team members car as a present. I dont know how much money he has, but I think he has enough for him and his next generation to live without working and bothering about something.

Interesting.
I would imagine he made enough money to secure his financial future, i.e. he can afford to never work again while maintaining a fairly modest lifestyle, but I don't think he made nearly as much as to splash out money on buying expensive cars to people.
He only really had 3 high-profile fights prior to the Strickland fight. But maybe he made more from gifts from Kadyrov, sponsorship deals and other sources than he made from UFC fights.

He has really only just entered the stage of his career when the real money start flowing in. But not every fighter is primarily money-motivated.
My personal guess would be that he was really struggling with weight cutting, which took a massive toll on his body and fighting enthusiasm. But maybe we just don't want Strickland the credit he deserves. There were quite a lot of fighters who pointed him as a winner, which can't be a coincidence.

I think Chimaev will bounce back. And it's not like he got badly beaten by Sean. It was a close fight and a split decision loss.
