Re: US reportedly seeking to replace Iran in World Cup
in Gambling discussion
There is no pride in taking what you did not work for, Italy failed to qualify for the world cup and so should not participate even if FIFA, tells them to do so. FIFA is playing a very dangerous game with the united states concerning this world cup. FIFA should take a clear stand on it politics should not be mixed with sports, if this plan goes ahead FIFA will be setting a very wrong precedence because tomorrow it may be the turn of the united states to be removed from participating in the world cup when they have already qualified simply because they are not in good relationship with the hosting countries.

Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A)
in Gambling discussion
Snip

Roma played their usual monotonous game in this match, but they were fortunate enough to score two goals with the few chances they usually create, those three points are crucial in the remaining matches, as they still have hope of securing a place in the UCL, they will certainly be waiting for the results of their rivals, Juventus, who I believe will probably drop points or share them. Milan has home advantage.
In football some teams don't play well because that is not the agenda of the Manager but is after getting results, Roma may not have played well but what is important to them at this stage of the league is the three points. With this three points Roma still has their eyes on the champions League place as they are very close to a champions League finish.

Re: World cup and the war
in Politics & Society
With the way things are going currently I don't see the current situation in the world getting better very good, am afraid that we may be watching the world cup in the mist of crisis which may not be a good one if you ask me. There is the war going on in Ukraine and the one now in the middle east, who knows another war is just hovering and that is the one China may likely start on the Taiwan because that war can kick start any time from now. Sport especially football is one factor that has been a unifying place across races so let just hope that the commencement of the world cup will bring the needed peace . But I don't see that happening because there is moves by Trump to remove Iran from the world cup which to me is not, a sign of peace.

Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26
in Gambling discussion
With what has happened at the cause of the season the players at Madrid is down mentally. There is no zeal to continue fighting fighting and purchasing Barcelona and now they are even out of the champions League. Madrid should just go back to the drawing table and get a good manager next season because this present coach doesn't have what it takes to manage a team like madrid. But I will have to blame the players for this current situation that madrid finds themselves, why am saying this is because all of them ganged up to making sure that Alonso was sacked and now things are really bad for them.

Benfica is closing in gradually on Porto, I must commend Mourinho for what he is doing at Benfica because he has really transformed this side which were struggling prior to his arrival. Even if Benfica don't end up winning the league I see Benfica as a strong force next season in the league and in Europe because I see, Benfica making it to the champions League next season.

Re: Nigeria Banks That Won’t Block You For P2P in this Month [Tested This Week]
in Nigeria (Naija)
OP I think that the Nigerian situation when it comes to crypto is complex, in the sense that even though we are told that crypto is legal in the country and that you can trade or invest in crypto. Situations like this when banks will still suspect their customer trying to do a crypto transaction as suspicious worrisome to me. Apart from the fintech banks using a commercial Bank for any crypto related activities may lead to your account been blocked reasons best known to the bank. My conclusions is that the government is only paying lip service to the so called legalisation of crypto in the country.

Re: Android phones/ handset has reduced demand and production of certain products
in Economics
One of the good things about life is that it's dynamic so life is always in a constant state of evolution and technological advancement and that is what is happening in our today world. Sometimes I try and look back and reflect on how man has lived his life in the past, without electricity, televisions and even computers which has given birth to the Internet that we all are enjoying today. There are jobs that will not be necessary in the future because technology will so grow that, in the future men will be replaced by technology because it will do the job more better and faster. Just imagine buying a calendar or even a DVD player currently, it's unnecessary because you can watch movies in your phone and check the date in your phone.

Re: Entrepreneurship in developing countries; usually a symptom of unemployment.
in Economics
You made a very important point and observation when comparing entrepreneurship behaviors in developing and the developed societies. There is a Gulf that exists and is typically to me a reflection of the economic situations of the environmental factors that exists in these two worlds that are far apart. But I will disagree with you on the concluding part of your thread when said that real entrepreneur exists only in the developed world, this is wrong and is not true and the records should be put straight developing countries has a lot of potentials in every areas which includes in the areas of business entrepreneurship.

Re: Bitcoin Conference 2026: 500 speakers, 490 you've never heard of
in Bitcoin Discussion
So my question to you is, out of all the names on this list, who do you think I should see give their talk? This is a right-or-wrong question. Please don't say Saylor or Jack Dorsey because that's wrong.
OP this is a conference which means that resources persons with in depth knowledge and experience are coming to speak, there should be no reason why only one or two speakers should be in our mind when the conference eventually kick start. Every resource person is important and will be contributing his knowledge about Bitcoin so every speaker is worth listening to in this program that is coming up. Nice one to the bitcoin community because these types of conferences remind Bitcoin enthusiast that Bitcoin is still alive and kicking despite all oppositions in the past.

Re: If Bitcoin was centralized, would the price of BTC go down or up?
in Bitcoin Discussion
What makes Bitcoin different from other crypto currencies is due to its decentralization which has not given any entity or person the authority to control Bitcoin plus prove of work which every miner should go through before getting Bitcoin. If Bitcoin suddenly becomes centralized and also less costly to mine then the core principles behind Bitcoin is defeated, which will lead to breaking of trust in Bitcoin and when ever trust is broken people will pull out of such a thing no matter how appealing it may be. What will follow is a massive scale of holders selling off there holdings.
