Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions
in Gambling discussion

Leao is leaving from AC Milan soon. I have noticed how he was getting such huge downgrade. He looks like a different guy who played brilliantly in the past. I think it's the main effect from how Allegri was treating him badly. So he's unhappy in the club.
It makes me think his decision to leave is the best one. Finding a new club to play, get a new squad and friends, and new environment. So i see it as a thing that may improve him again.

He brings happiest to all of Milan fans. He's also one of reason why it's made it worth to buy the ticket price. However, there will always be end to an era. So he's finally moving to the another club.
My wish for him to go to the competitive league such as La Liga or EPL. He's still young, and he has big potential to grow up.

Hopefully, a club such as Chelse sees this as an opportunity.

Leao will find a new team within no time. If he is in a good environment, he can help any team to improve. I think he is similar to Doku from Manchester City and whenever I tuned in and watched a Manchester City match, Doku made the match faster and harder to defend. Leao is the same because of his speed and explosiveness.

He still played a lot of matches last season, but he was substituted quite a lot. He missed matches due to injuries, but still had 29 appearances. The EPL is a good destination for him. He is a physically strong player and would get along very well there.

Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season

Despite falling behind, PSG stuck to their game plan. They tried to dominate the game from start to finish. Havertz would have been more useful if he had stayed on his feet and fought back on counter-attacks after the goal, but he constantly threw himself to the ground trying to get a foul from the referee, yet the referee didn't blow the whistle for any of them. Incidentally, this referee, despite being a quality referee, will not be officiating at the World Cup.

PSG found the equalizer with a penalty, making the score 1-1.

Penalty shootouts depend on luck, but Arsenal, just like years ago when they lost to Galatasaray in the UEFA Cup, lost again on penalties.

To me it felt as if PSG didn't have the optimal game plan for this match. It was that one action that saved them the draw and it was the first time that they were up against a highly organised defensive line and couldn't find solutions. Everything was far more risky than it usually is for PSG. Without that penalty it would have been over and there was no guarantee Dembele would convert the penalty.

Arsenal was intelligent and the early goal played into their hands. Afterwards they fell back into their own half and disallowed PSG to benefit from their game plan. It was like handball most of the time without ever getting behind the defensive line. Grin

Arsenal had a few tricky situations in the PSG box in the last minutes and whether you take the throw in by Declan Rice or the bad passing when the PSG defender had a blunder, this match could have ended with an Arsenal victory.

Re: Gov approved casinos are much worse than I thought
in Gambling discussion
I tried to sign up to a licensed casino in my country and somehow I miraculously won a couple hundred bucks on free spins.
I was allowed to do free spins and deposit by bank even before completing KYC somehow.

After completing KYC though, I realized they never had the intention to let me withdraw.
They claimed someone had attempted to use my credentials to sign up before and provided a sign up email address that was from... The Philippines. Even having a name not matching my gender. I am European and had provided them my full id including live face identification.
Yet somehow someone with Philippino credentials is also me?

They subsequently closed my account end even confiscated my deposit claiming it was tied to bonuses and was "lost" while in fact it was a separate balance.

These casinos are supposedly overlooked by the local Greek government but apparently their practices are like the mafia's.

You can deposit before KYC. KYC is super strict, even if you complete it withdrawals take ages and you might be impulsive and lose it all before you have the patience to wait to withdraw. And then there's also completely made up issues like the platform claiming someone non-existent signed up with your info like in my case.

It's funny that they only cared about my account's legitimacy after I won around 200 EUR with their free spins.
My conclusion is to never play again at a full KYC government approved casino. They have so many disadvantages and the government just backs them up instead of actually regulating them.

This may vary from country to country and there are jurisdictions where you have promising recourse possibilities. I don't know about Greece, but a licensed casino doesn't mean much depending on where it is actually located. Is it approved by the Greece government? If that is the case you should have options to go through designated institutions that are supposed to fight crime or scam in that area. If Greece has a dedicated institution for that, it could be a possibility to go that way unless the amount isn't worth it.

If it is licensed in the Carribeans but operates online in Greece, there is nothing you can do I think.

Re: Why Many Gamblers Keep Returning After Saying “I’m Done”
in Gambling discussion
Almost every gambler has said  “I’m Done” but they usually come back and sometimes it takes them few days, weeks or months to come back.
For many people quitting gambling is harder than expected.
This now raises an interesting question Why do so many gamblers come back even after deciding to stop?
Below are the reasons that I spotted out or noticed as someone who is also a gambler for so many years now.

1. The Memory of Winning Stays Longer Than the Pain of Losing.

One of the reasons why some gamblers finds it very hard to quit gambling is because they often remember their biggest wins more vividly than their biggest losses.
They have some thought of there past win more for example they have thoughts like this.
“I won big once, maybe I can do it again.”

This is psychologically disproven. Losses have a bigger effect and a more memorisable effect than gains. There are many studies researching thisThis still doesn't mean that the gambler takes the consequence to never come back. He may decide temporarily, but usually gamblers come back to make up for past losses.

The hope that you can win big may never dwindle though and from time to time those big wins may lead a gambler into thinking that it is worth it and perhaps for some gamblers it is true, but that is a minority.

Some gamblers may cover up their losses in their minds and that is what you mean when you make your first point "The Memory of Winning Stays Longer Than the Pain of Losing." The theory shows other results. If you gamble and lose your only house, you probably remember that for longer than if you add one house to the one you already own. Every day you wake up in a tent, you know you lost a house. Grin

Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024
in Gambling discussion
They also sacrificed a lot of money to make the Saudi Arabian League increasingly have top European players. So,, it's clear that the Saudi Arabian League's success is due to the cooperation and sacrifice of all parties involved. This is indeed very good,, because it's very rare for a country whose football was previously unknown to reach such a level of progress in the Saudi Arabian League. So I hope that all of this can last long enough.
If there's one thing that has kept the Arab League at its peak, it's CR7. I say that the moment he leaves that league, things won't be the same. Just look at FOX; while CR7 was protesting, they stopped broadcasting because they didn't have enough viewers. If you can see the effect there, I don't want to imagine what will happen if he leaves, and he will. Then things with him will be different. Wherever he goes, everything changes for the better.

He could be using these metrics as a tool to raise the pressure for new contract negotiations. Grin

I am serious, the SPL knows his value for the league and if he decides to protest and the viewership shrinks like you said, this is strong leverage in his hands.

Nevertheless the Saudi people are proud people and I think they won't allow anyone from a foreign country to use leverage against them. That is why it is possible that the contract will soon come to an end because they don't want to look like sheep.

On the other hand it is possible that they will offer him the same contract or better year after year. Either way he is making unprecedented money there.
