Re: What first got you into gambling, and what keeps you coming back?
in Gambling discussion
I would say "fun and entertainment" since this is an interesting way for having a relax time and enjoy some sport match.
At a certain point you must look at this activity in this way. Not search to become rich... ok the big jackpot but most of people will not get it Smiley
Well, at a certain point a see just this as a reason to continue to bet, however during the years I changed a lot my betting habits also due new regulations.

Re: What kept you safe from doing 'stupid' in gambling
in Gambling discussion
if you are using crypto or btc its really easy avoid "to be stupid" in gambling since you can easily restrict your funds!
You don't need to rely on others (bookmakers or governments) you can self exclude and thats all. I am refering to cold wallet, multisignature, even timelocks.
If you look deeper, you can easily save your coins, you cant avoid to be stupid.
I would say = make a budget and keep safe your funds and not make such decision later Wink

Re: Will E-shopping sites ever accept bitcoin?
in Economics
A direct option for paying with btc (unless is a layer 2 like a LN) will never get so much success. and It's also impossible to have.
As you may know most of bitcoiners are not spending directly btc.
If I need to pay in this way I can just use a VCC in matter of minutes or exchanging in any other crypto like usdt.
I think that we are entering in a phase (or probably we have already entered into it) where YOU DON'T NEED TO SPEND btc!

Re: How is wealth distributed through Gambling
in Gambling discussion
Money are not distributed in that way. Its well know that many players in this industry are doing anything possible to pay as lower as they can as taxes.
Nothing bad at all. laws allows it. They are not entities for charity... Bear in mind, there are some companies in this industry that are PRIVATE and not quoted in the markets.
Because this sector sometimes could be such profitable that you would not share even the smallest slice of the cake!

Re: Data or Heart? My Sports Betting Strategy for a Straight Win in Soccer
in Gambling discussion
op you are not doing nothing new for a gambler. its interesting the referee in some tournaments (like Italian Serie A) in the past has some strange "coincidences" Wink
But anyway, Analyze a large amount of data it's useless. In any case you are not really competing with bookmakers because there are hundreds of people and several companies working producing odds. My "strategy" is just to focus to a single player or single tournament (tennis bets). I am no gambling on soccer since many years now Sad

Re: Does your luck shines brighter most with a particular casino?
in Gambling discussion
luck is something that could you not ever measure. you can believe on these "magic" things, you can be superstitious but you must aware that these are all "b+lls+++t" and nothing more. Pay attention, in some cases casino are "exploiting" this aspect of "being lucky, luring player to chasing the lucky shot!
Be aware... be always vigilant!

Re: FIRE - Financial Independence, Retire Early

Su questi argomenti complessi, è inutile stare a disquisire.

Hai 60-65 anni, ancora stai qui 100 ore a settimana? Grin

Re: consequenced of promoting illegal casinos.
in Gambling discussion
I find it someway normal, since similar issues are happening also in my country.
Many people have shared platforms not regulated (in some cases just pure scam). Of course gambling is regulated....

I think that offer support to these websites could be a strong risk that even if rewarded could bring some issues also in long term.
Yes high risk, high reward... but it is really worth it?

Re: GDF, individuato trader con oltre 270 milioni

Re: Are loss rebate promotions a smart way to keep your money safe?
in Gambling discussion
No, these are not provided for "Helping the player" but just to let him play (and loss) more.
Each time I see bonus related "losses" .... ok this is a bad...
yes, even if thi is a bonus, this a bonus for negative consequences that in most of the case have 0 or no impact in your wallet...
