Lebron realized when he was not playing that the team doesn't need him to score, which is a first in his career because in any team he played so far he was asked to be not only a playmaker and ballhandler, but also the main scorer, for the first time ever we are seeing him not have that kind of request and he is only asked to either defend or pass, he can be leader on the floor and can see what the other team is doing and help the team play accordingly but that's about it.
This is inevitable due to his current age. Theres always an end to their prime era which Lebron is currently experiencing. In fairness to him he still contribute well and play much better than most of the NBA players even at his age.
Luka and Austin is just too aggressive and efficient on scoring thats why Lebron is not that needed but for a team that doesnt have Luka caliber player I believe he can still play as a playmaker.
On the one hand, LeBron is averaging 14 points per game this season, which is very low and unusual for him. On the other hand, he has only played six games, which isn't enough to draw any definitive conclusions about him. If he stays healthy for the rest of the season, I wouldn't rule out him averaging as many points as he did last season.
