Re: bakit ban ang bitcointalk?
in Pilipinas
Nabasa ko nga 'to sa Meta and nakakapag basa and post pa din ako. Personally, yung experience ko is the same.

Like domain level or any kind of level ba?

I was still able to access and be able to post but apparently it could be to other ISP providers only.

I mean it doesn't make sense, since there's no official announcement from the NTC, this can be challenged and should be but I doubt they would give a f*ck about the citizens reporting this.

Maybe because it has "Bitcoin" in the title. That's just stupid though.  Angry

I agree that there should be a leader that is competent and has no corruption issues.

Re: Bitcoin is holding above $78,000, but is the market actually strong?
in Speculation
Over the past few weeks, we have been in a strong range and are currently holding at $75k ~ $78k.

You and I must have different ideas about what ‘strong’ means. Is it strong when the price of Bitcoin is down 11% so far this year? If the price keeps rising and we see it staying above $100,000, I’ll start to think the market is strong in 2026. Until then, I don’t believe it.
We are looking at different timeframes here. I'm saying that it's within this week.

Look at the chart below

This is between Apr 27 and today, it's within the range I'm talking about. What I'm trying to say is that it's not moving much within the range, so it's either that sellers aren't selling or there are no buyers, which means the market is still in accumulation. Breakout resistance and support levels would indicate that a trend is about to change.

So, currently, the market is strong in holding the price.

Over the past few weeks, we have been in a strong range and are currently holding at $75k ~ $78k. It just shows that there are fewer sellers for this. If it's not going to hold on to this, it might be due to market reactions to events in the world.

There is a big sell wall, or options wall, at $80k, so I'm worried about how it would be handled. It could just be a range again from $80k to $76k.

I think the best idea is to have less leverage or just be careful with the market.

Re: “Sports betting strategy”
in Gambling discussion
If only it were that easy. There would probably be no bookmakers anymore if players always profit. Either way, they have margins, and it would be easy for them to know how they set their odds. As long as you experience it, it might mean your strategy works or not, but technically, variance and sample size can affect the results.

Just enjoy and don't analyze too much unless you want to really get deep into it, start record-keeping like in a spreadsheet, and measure ROI by betting market or sport. You cannot quantify without this.

Re: An AI Tool to Correct False Claims About Bitcoin
in Bitcoin Discussion
There would be biases if the training data contained incorrect information or leaned towards a single opinion. I think there should be some disclosure with it.

Anyway, for me, there should still be human verification that it's correct, with the right citations made by the AI, and it should be able to trace where it got it from. As long as the journal where the data is published is credible, the information can be considered credible.

Re: Just hard work doesn't guarantee wealth anymore.
in Economics
I look at hard work and see that it has something to do with effort. You need to be ready with what you would be doing for yourself in the long run. And with the consensus of everyone, I think hard work is still needed in order to teach someone the discipline and skills built to be wealthy, but not wealth directly(it's not monetary but the lifestyle that a person may have)

Right now, we are at the age where technology can really amplify our productivity, especially with automation, and you know that this is new with the AI and all. It's something that would really boom more in the long term. People should be aware of that.

Re: Miners in Canada are having problems.
in Mining
Maybe the data can come from a data company that collects it; so far, I think the calculation of the hash rate in Canada would be inaccurate.

There might be information on the Cambridge Bitcoin Electricity Consumption Index (CBECI)[1]. Maybe there's a way to analyze the data.

Isn't it that they are targeting the actual grid stability? In order to manage their load in terms of energy?

Re: DEX.fo — Automatic Crypto Exchange | No KYC/AML | BTC ETH XMR LTC DAI USDT |
in Exchanges
Welcome to the forum! Another exchange to use Cheesy

Tried it today, and it worked. Just used a little bit over the minimum, and it was successful. It was quite a long time, though, because the BTC network didn't confirm the TX right away.

I'm curious whether I should send more than what I initially put on the website, and whether it would automatically convert at the same rate? I mean, I like how it automatically adds the price upon scanning the code(this is the first time I encountered this when scanning a QR Code for exchanges), so I'm thinking if I edited the amount and sent more over, would it be a problem? @DEX.fo

Anyway, like my other suggestions to other exchanges. USDC is a key pair for me, and I hope it gets added  Grin Maybe other chains as well, like ARB or BASE? Cheesy

Re: Entropy: your models are useless due to this
in Gambling discussion
How can you account for something as random as entropy? I don't think this is going to be possible no matter what model or anything you are using. It's basically random  Shocked

I believe there needs to be a more focused approach to gambling and that is with risk management and position sizing

With that at least you can make sure that you are doing your best to increase your odds of winning and not just donating your money to the casino.  Grin
