World cup starts soon. How are you guys currently prepping for the world cup games? Do you have a strategy or strategies in mind? Personally, I've been following the progress of the International friendlies currently ongoing and given how they have gone, I'm thinking of a goals strategy between over 1.5 to over 2.5 goals because we might have cases in this world where some of the favorites will lose to an underdog and in most cases like that, goals criterias are met even though there was an upsets.

Re: Author Hayes dumped Near and Hype
in Altcoin Discussion
Arthur Hayes is the kind of person that is only there to benefit from a project. This isn't the first time he has gone in on hype. Last year, he gave a keynote speech that HYPE was going to $100 last year but rushed to dump it before it got to $60. Then he got in again before the recent run to $70+. Imo, sooner or later, Nobody will take Arthur's shilling and investment thoughts seriously because he has proven that he would only be there for the good times.

Re: Zcash crashes 48% after Claude's AI finds critical vulnerability
in Altcoin Discussion
It's funny how everyone outside crypto are now skeptical about crypto because of that Zcash incident. But they forgot that it is only that way because most crypto systems are open sourced and that was why that researcher was able to run Claude Opus 4.8 on the entire codebase to uncover the bug. There are thousands of tradfi systems that currently handle 10x to 200x more activity than Zcash but we currently can't test how secure they are because those systems are closed.

Well, at least it now means project teams can use the same technology to better secure their projects and maybe we'd have less hacks in crypto moving forward.

I am German and I think nobody is underestimating them. Cheesy Germany doesn't have the team that is a favourite. Germany had a say in many big championships, but this is not one of those when I think they have a realistic chance to win it. There is Spain and there is France, we are not close.

 Cheesy

I'm not supporting Germany for this world cup. I just mentioned Germany earlier because everyone keep talking about Germany like they're a walkover in this world cup but I don't think it's the case. This is why I don't think they would easily be eliminated in this world cup. My current favorites to win are either France or Spain. Also, I'm supporting Portugal to win as well because this is Ronaldo's last chance to win it.

Re: How market manupulators playining with new traders like a 😭 poem ?

The greatest market manipulations we are seeing in recent times is not even in the forex matket or the stock market but in the crypto market right now. Imagine how there's always constant crime pump every other week. See tokens like RAVE ans currently LAB and tell me if there are currently any other market manipulations of such levels currently available in the forex or stock market. This one is even more horrible than the one you mentioned because longs and shorts get slaughtered at almost all times.

Re: Strategy Sells 32 BTC for $2.5M
in Bitcoin Discussion

So the CEO of a failing company that nevertheless has some money left in the treasury decides to go to Las Vegas and spin the roulette wheel one last time, figuring he had nothing to lose. And then his number hit and now he's some kind of genius.  Cheesy Cheesy

For every Saylor, there are probably 99 CEOs in this position you've never heard of because their companies are toast. (And no, it's not because "it was Bitcoin" since Saylor's luck wasn't Bitcoin per se, but rather very lucky timing with the market).

Haha, what's unlucky is Tom Lee with his ETH investments and Forward industries with their $1.5B purchase of Solana at $232 a piece now worth +/- $458m. These DATs saw how much Saylor was making on his bitcoin purchases and instead of join into buy more Bitcoins, they ended up buying shitcoins and they're now being punished severely for it. I don't think what these guys are doing is genius considering the fact that all they do is buy and then shill their bag all the time.

Re: UEFA Champions League 2026/27 Season
in Gambling discussion
I don't even think that Manchester United is capable of mounting a serious title challenge in the EPL because they will now be playing in several competitions, unlike last season that the EPL was their only target. A lot of Manchester United fans are having a high expectations next season but I just hope they wouldn't be that disappointed because that's what likely going to happen when their team eventually start battling to finish in top four than contending for the title.

It's going to be tough for them indeed. Last season, Arsenal almost had a freeway to the title albeit a late title charge from Man city. But that aside, I feel there would be more competition for the EPL title next season and Man Utd being in more competitions will certainly test their squad depth and coordination. Going to the Champions league is one thing, dominating and going far enough to get a shot at winning it is the main hurdle that I don't see them overcoming.

Germany shouldn't be in the conversation, is like saying Netherlands are going to win the WC, I'm saying this because countries are almost the same, Germany would go far but winning the World Cup is not possible. We have countries that are still making the whole game look difficult for the others and if you place Germany and Spain or Germany and France I bet you that Germany would struggle, they won't play like they played when they won Brazil 7-1, that squad was the best and as they are now they don't have anything close to what they had back then in 2014, Germany are good but when it becomes heated up they can't stand it, we have Spain France and the other countries that when the game begins the whole atmosphere will change and you'd see Germany slowing down in performance.

I see you're underestimating Germany in this world cup. Well, here are some of the reasons why I think Germany have a chance to win:

  • In Euro2024, it took Spain 120 minutes to defeat Germany with a late goal from Merino in the 119" minute to beat Germany. Germany matched Spain very well in that match but unlucky to have lost it.
  • Germany have been good so far in recent games especially in the international friendlies that have been held in recent times. Their 1-2 win against USA tonight made it their 9th win in their last 10 international games.
  • Germany is World cup royalty. 4 world cup titles so far so winning the world cup isn't new to them.

They won by cheating in Ligue 1 (postponing Ligue 1 games so they could rest and be fresher for the Champions League games), they benefited from a lot of help the referee gave them in the final against Arsenal, and they were lucky in the penalty shootout. Honestly, this team is using its financial power to get far. I'm a PSG fan

but I definitely don't agree with everything they did this season to win the Champions League, and I even bet on them to win against Arsenal because I thought they would play a clean game, but I confess I was disappointed during the match. It might have just been my impression that the referee favored them during the final.

Spoken like Arsenal weren't given the easiest path to the final and still only get through those games with boring 1-0 winnings. In the finals,  the officiating was fair. Arsenal started wasting time just before half time but were surprised they were not given time to take their corner. Saka handed the ball even though it's due to vague rules that it wasn't given and that was never a penalty against Madueke because he intentionally wrapped his hands around Mendes fell down. Should've been a yellow card for Madueke in all fairness.

Re: Turkish Super League 2026/27 Season
in Gambling discussion
I vote for Galatasaray!

IDK why, but I think the recent Turkish league seasons have always been dominated by Galatasaray, they won the title in the 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25 & 2025/26 seasons, which shows that they're too strong for other teams. Fenerbahce has always been the team below them with low points difference, who knows, if next season doesn't belong to Galatasaray, the most likely to get it is definitely Fenerbahce.

I voted for them too. While it's up for grabsF for any teams to take, I doubt any of the other teams willbe able to do anything unless they undergo some changes that leads to serious improvements. I tipped Fenerbahce last season to win the title last season but they blew every attempt they had to top the table and kept dropping points at games they were supposed to win with flying colors. Anyway, not doing that anymore. Just going to back the fastest horse.
