Re: L'halving è alle porte

I think Chelsea will pay the 24 million pounds compensation to Liam Rosenia because he signed a six-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea.
Now who's at a loss? Obviously Chelsea is in a huge loss, even just as it is now. Other coaches that would want to take the job will seek a long-term contract should they get sacked along the line. 24 million pounds? The young manager wouldn't feel it if he was even sacked; he made six years worth of money in just a year, lol.
Ehm, it doesn't work like that. Unless they find an agreement to dissolve the contract in advance, Rosenior will be considered a Chelsea employee until 2032, that means he is going to be paid year by year, and in the meantime, of course, he can't manage any other team unless he solves his situation with Chelsea. So, no, he didn't make 24 millions in one year.

Many Arsenal fans reportedly want Luis Enrique to come in as the new manager to replace Mikel Arteta. They feel that Arsenal’s performance has been less than satisfactory under his leadership. And they don’t want to see a decline in performance like the one Arsenal has experienced recently. But Rio Ferdinand insists that Luis Enrique won’t be coming to Arsenal (Source). He believes Arteta deserves more time to coach Arsenal. I personally think that Luis Enrique could be an excellent candidate to replace the Arsenal manager. He is a coach with experience leading various top-tier teams. He was also once a strong candidate to replace Arsène Wenger as Arsenal’s manager. But at that time the deal fell through because Arsenal refused to meet Luis Enrique’s demands. Arteta is reportedly set to be replaced if he fails to win the Premier League title (Source). But I think if he can just deliver a Champions League title then he might not leave Arsenal as manager just yet given that Arsenal’s chance to win the Champions League title this season is getting closer. What are your thoughts?
In my opinion, Luis Enrique is the perfect replacement for Arteta, as his track record is unquestionable, as he is one of the best coaches in the world. The only problem is that Luis Enrique is still under contract at PSG, and I'm sure PSG will do everything they can to retain him. Arsenal should look for another manager next season, as Arteta isn't the type coach with a winning mentality. Furthermore, Arteta has had enough time at Arsenal, but he hasn't won a major trophy. This season, Arteta will return without a trophy, especially given Arsenal's declining performance.
I really struggle to see or understand why Luis Enrique should leave PSG now. He has been training the team for only a few years, he slowly built the team he wanted, and he managed to do it losing Mbappé, when many people thought that PSG without Mbappé wouldn't win a single title. I'm sorry but Arsenal is too messy at the moment, I feel like they buy random players and the team always melt down at the end. If I were Luis Enrique, I'd stay in France.

So Chelsea, once again, lost. I really struggle to understand why they chose to fire Maresca only to bring in this manager from their sister team, Strasbourg. What did he do in order to earn that spot? And his results now are extremely mediocre. The management really made a big mistake firing Maresca. And let's not forget that this also lead to the Fernandez problem. Very poor decision.

Wait, I just defended Simeone but what you wrote there is just not true. Now Atletico spend a lot of money to sign new players, even too much considering they paid almost 130 for João Félix, one of the biggest flops in football's history; Julián Álvarez 75 millions; Lemar (another huge flop, I forgot he even existed) for 72 millions; without forgetting Diego Costa, Griezmann, Baena... Sure, they spend less than the biggest club in the world but I wouldn't say that they spend "little money".
Athletico Madrid do spend money although In what they have spent there have been huge flops but not everyone here on your list is a flop, Alvarez Julian is absolutely not a flop, honestly what do you expect some of this players signed to them to do.
Athletico Madrid plays a football that doesn't allow for much trophies but they only will end up every season close to winning all trophies or in their very good season they win just one.
I never said everyone on that list was a flop, as I wrote, that was a list of the most expensive players Atletico ever bought, and they all arrived under Simeone's management. Another user was saying that Atletico is a team that doesn't spend money, they only buy cheap players, and that is clearly not true.

Wait, I just defended Simeone but what you wrote there is just not true. Would you blame the owners for spending huge figures in getting these players? Ofcourse they're one of the most prestigious club in Spain and bringing in excellent players wouldn't be challenging. Atletico De Madrid have been really been competitive in La Liga and we know how they operates when it comes to big games. This season, they've shown all clearing qualities of been one of the club that are determined to win major trophies however the same club lost the Copa del Rey cup to Real sociedad few days ago.
Where did I blame the owners? I was the first one to say that Atletico became a top-tier team thanks to Simeone when other users were talking shit about him and Atletico.

Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season
in Gambling discussion
Bayern Munich has a high chance of reaching the UEFA Champions League final because if you look at the French league, PSG lost to Lyon yesterday. It is not desirable from PSG at the moment because they will have to face a traditional club from Germany which will be the biggest obstacle for this PSG team in the Champions League semi-finals. You are not right because Arsenal has only reached the Champions League semi-finals by one goal, in fact they were fortunate enough to score a goal against Sporting CP in the first league match of the quarter-finals.

Also, everyone is now seeing how fragile Premier League club Arsenal is in the UCL and PL because this team is losing so, given Arsenal's declining performance, it seems that Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich will reach the final round of the Champions League.
I don't think PSG's defeat against Lyon proves anything: they know they are going to win the Ligue 1 anyway, I'm sure that mentally they were already thinking about the Champions League match, so they didn't want to get injured and/or too tired. I see Bayern Munich slightly favorite against PSG, it's going to be a very interesting match.

Do you remember how shitty Atletico were before Simeone? Do you know the club's value increased like 10 times since Simeone took control? And are you really complaining he doesn't win enough Ligas while he has to compete, every single season, with two of the best teams in the world? I'm not a big fan of his style of playing but he is doing exactly what he has to in order to achieve some results. And he did.
Diego Simeone competing with Barcelona and Real Madrid for the La Liga title and he still manage to lift two for Atletico De Madrid. We know it's not easy following how the manager have worked really hard to come this far, what more can be done if not creating room for progress and Greatness?

Been a fan of Diego Simeone walking work of art at the Metropolitano stadium wouldn't change how the players play football, sometimes we should tender some of the blames to the players because we're not seeing Diego Simeone play football, he only analyzed and give instructions to his players, they're the ones that will carry this role and they will decide if it will be effective or not.
Until a few months ago, I thought firing Diego Simeone as Atlético Madrid's coach would be a good move, but some time later I came to understand that keeping him long-term is the best option. Atlético Madrid, with the funds they have, fighting for the title would be complicated, whereas the system they are using is more advantageous; they focus on positions 2 and 3 and qualify for the Champions League, thus earning money.

Since they spend little money on new signings, I believe the club will have healthy finances and won't have to go through the same thing Barcelona did. The further they go in the Champions League, the more money they will earn, if my memory serves me right. If they were to fire Diego Simeone, they could risk hiring someone who wouldn't even be able to finish in fourth place, and that would be detrimental to the club.

This is one of those scenarios where a coach isn't changed when things are going according to the plans or desires of the management, out of greed for more than they can currently achieve. They might even lose what they have now. That's why I believe they will keep Diego Simeone for more seasons.
